Looking for the gravesite of John William Allman. He was a Private with in A Company, 30th Indiana Infantry. He mustered in on October 14, 1864, and died on May 24, 1865. Reports are conflicting: family history states he died at Battle of Lookout Mountain while his widow's pension lists place of death as Regimental Hospital near Nashville. I cannot find him in local cemeteries, wondering if TN is the best place to start searching. Any tips on where to start?
