Can anyone please give me an accurate number of how many troops were mustered into service in Col.Thomas J.Lucas' 16th Indiana Infantry at Indianapolis, on August 19,1862? I have almost completed my work on the Battle of Richmond,KY, where the vast majority of the 16th Indiana was killed, wounded, or captured. I have all of the correct casualty figures, as well as the troops strengths for each unit at the start of the battle, except for Col. Lucas' 16th. Can anyone please help me with this? I've sent email, letters, etc., to the IND Historical Society, but as of yet have received not so much as a phone call in return. Please help if any of you possibly can.
