I have the diary of Joseph Pifer who was in the 100th Indiana, Co. A. Besides his diary I have an gathered other related material which I hope one day to use in a book centered around the diary. If anyone has information on the 100th I would much appreciate it if they would forward it to me, and I would be glad to share any information I have. One of the reference books I have found was written by the commander of Company A. He mentions that Joseph Pifer was wounded at Missionary Ridge, a fact that is not reported in the diary, although it covers the time period.
