How can I find a regiment with men from the Daviess Co., IN
area who were in the Civil War? I am trying to locate my g-grdpa William Williams who disappeared & thought he might have been in the Civil War. He was born in abt 1821 KY but moved to IN before the 1850 census. His wife died in 1858 and I can't locate him anywhere after that.
Any info on him or a regiment from there would be greatly appreciated, even a suggestion as to how to locate where the regiments came from in IN.....Thank you so much, Peggy
