Thanks for the comments. In recent weeks we have been able to come in contact with two different decendents of the the 15th Lt. Artillery and both of they family members are ones that died. One was the enlisted man who died with a shot to his chest and was buried close to where he died and the second died of disease. It is amazing that we are putting together (slowly but surely) some of the members of the unit.
While reading Frederick Fout's military record we are able to fit pieces together along with his books. Now his books are coming alive after over 100 years.
