My ggg uncle, Lewis Hamm (Louis) left the confederate army around 1864 in Indianola Texas and joined the 18th Ind Inf.At this time the 18th was in control of the gulf area. I found him listed on the civil war soldiers site in both armies. He settled around Bringhurst and married in 1865.
Are there any additional rosters or info on the 18th?
