I had a great great great uncle in the 17th. Eli Haynes.
They have his name spelled wrong on the roster. They have it as Hanes. I have his 1851 navy colt, his spencer carbine, and sabor. These things will remain in our family forever.There are sites that tell the history of the 17th.I'll have to find them again though before I can list the site.(computer problems)
