Living History Interpreters Needed!

Ladies and Gentlemen:

The Gaylord Building Historic Site (Lockport, Illinois) needs living history interpreters to help educate and entertain the public about the late Antebellum Era (1857-1860). Through a corps of volunteers the historic site will be participating in multiple events throughout northern Illinois and northwestern Indiana in 2010 on weekends. We are seeking both individuals and families from throughout the metropolitan area to help interpret social/leisure/cultural life in outdoor settings. Interpreters must be willing to acquire and maintain their own period clothing and accessories.

If you are interested and would like to discover more, please contact me at your earliest opportunity. I can typically be reached between 9:00am and 5:00pm weekdays. Thank you all for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Mark S. Harmon, Director
