Compiled Service Records are not found on-line of Illinois regiments. However, the originals are availabe for vieiwng and/of purchase from the Natioal Archives in Washington, D. C. and most likely also at the Illihois at the state archives.

Possibly also at Ancesry,com for members. I am not aware if the service provided by these message boards have access to Federak records. You can quesry the Message Board Webmaster as to procurent from them. See:

65th Illinois Infantry Known as the "Scotch Regiment”
Organized: Camp Douglas, Chicago, IL on 5/1/62
Mustered Out: 7/13/65

Simeon Deno
Enlisted on 4/20/1862 as a Private.
On 5/15/1862 he mustered into "K" Co. IL 65th Infantry
He was Mustered Out on 5/15/1865


8th Ilinois Cavalry
Organized: St. Charles, IL on 9/18/61
Mustered Out: 7/17/65 at Benton Barrack's, St Louis, MO

Peter Deno
Residence McHenry County IL;
Enlisted on 9/14/1861 as a Private.
On 9/18/1861 he mustered into "G" Co. IL 8th Cavalry
He Re-enlisted on 11/30/1863
He was Mustered Out on 7/17/1865 at Benton Barracks, St Louis, MO
Intra Regimental Company Transfers:

95th Ilinois Infantry
Organized: Camp Fuller, Rockford, IL on 9/4/62
Mustered Out: 8/17/65 at Camp Butler, Springfield, IL

Lewis Deno
Residence Dunham IL; a 30 year-old Farmer.
Enlisted on 8/8/1862 at Harvard, IL as a Private.
On 9/4/1862 he mustered into "C" Co. IL 95th Infantry
He was Killed on 5/19/1863 at Vicksburg, MS
He was described at enlistment as:
5' 6.5", dark complexion, black eyes, black hair
born in Lower Canada
