The citizens of Taylorville, IL are holding a dedication of a memorial to Major Francis M. Long of Co G of the 41st ILL Vol who was mortally wounded at Jackson MS on July 12, 1863. The ceremony takes place on August 12 at 2 pm on the courthouse lawn. The public is invited. Tom Doyle
