J. M. McClintock, Illinois Cav. in Arkansas

According to an obit that appeared on Nov. 8, 1934, J. M. McClintock had been born in Penn. in 1839 and came to
DeValls Bluff, Arkansas with a group of Illinois Cav. during the Civil War.
He was later the sheriff of Prairie County, Arkansas prior to the lines shifting and then Lonoke County, Arkansas after
the lines shifted in 1873- 1874.
Anyone know anything else about this man?? Even though McClintock lived to be up in advanced years, he had a very
bare bones obit.
I need the information for the poster among other things, that I am making for the Lonoke County Museum, and to be
honest, we know very little about the man. However, we do have a photo.
Thanks!
