My great great great great grandfather was William Wesley Rains. He was from Franklin Williamson and Jackson Counties in Illinois. He served in the 59th and 89th Illinois. His cousins Leroy, Hugh and uncle Henry and his brother John also enlisted. Another William enlisted in the 89th people claim was his father. Can anybody help sort this mess out and find out information on their service. Thanks!
