The Illinois State Historical Society is hosting a symposium March 7-9 at Wheaton College. The focus is on the Civil War period in IL. More to the point, I've been contacted by them, as representative of several Chicago area CWRTs, to attend a meeting (that Tuesday) of those CWRTs with the ISHS to see if we can work together to promote Civil War history.
