I am looking for info on my gr,gr. grandpa Matthew Logan Holmes he is listed in the civil war roster 'Matthew Logan Holmes Co. C MG REG INF ILLS. INF." I think it said he was from Cache Illinois (alexander county). Anything anyone could give me on him would be greatly appreciated. I once found him listed at hospital in madison county.
