I checked out your blog, enjoyed it, and will visit it again to check out new postings. I found the article on newspapers as primary sources interesting. For those who are interested in uncovering new information on a regiment, battle, or even an ancestor I would urge
researching local papers that pertain to the subject of study. If I can find it I will post a link that lists many Illinois newspapers at the State Archives in Springfield.
