Re: 14 IL Cav - Warm Springs, Cittico

Thank you George,

We have some internal inconsistencies of the service record that seem to make for dubious choices.

They were, it says, on duty in Kentucky at that time. So either the place is wrong or the date is wrong.

This Telliquah-Citico would make perfect sense if the date were, say Jan 27 or perhaps even Mar. 27, when they were in that area in action against Thompson's Cherokees. The Chattanooga Citico Creek choice requires similar messing around with dates.

There is another entry that also seems wrong: Hardison Mills Oct 24. Service History says they were still in Louisville then. Other histories would seem to suggest that Nov. 28 would be the correct date during Hood's end run around Columbia.

So maybe some messing with the dates is in order.

This URL opens a pdf of the current state of the history. Citico is #46 on page 8-9 and Hardisons Mill is #59 on page 10-11.

Still no real clue on Warm Springs #25 on pages 5-6..
