Thanks for the kind response.
Yes, I have seen that topic discussed in the southern sites from time to time.
After all this time, being a turncoat may only mean that the person stood up for they
believed.
I know I basically had a falling out with this long lost cousin who made the remark
that my ggg grandfather was a "hot headed rebel." I wrote him back and told him
his "family always considered the man loyal to his own family." I never heard from that
long lost cousin again-ha-ha.
Truthfully that ancestor was caught up in the times more than anything else.
I would imagine there were a lot of men like that.
Thank God I missed all of that.
