Frederick Warren Nelson

My ancestor Frederick Warren Nelson Enlisted and served as a pvt. in Company E, 60th Infantry Regiment of Indiana Volunteers. He was from Edwards County, Illnois he also lived in White County a little while before he enlisted. he died on September 9,1862 of sicknes. He is buried in Louisvile, Kentucky. His wife Susan Carter Filed for a Pension in 1863 while she was still living in Illnois. I was wondering what I should expect if I order her pension. I know she had to have proof that they were married and that he served but what else could be in there. I run into a bit of a problem. You see their son who is also a ancestor of mine. was born in 1862 he was born only a few days after his father died. Some how his mother knew in that short period of time because she named him Frederick J. Nelson, she named him in his fathers memory. Supposedly Frederick J. Nelson married a different women than my great-great-great grandmother. I was wondering if someone can help me find proof that Frederick J. Nelson married Alice B. Walker. I do not want to buy the pention untill I am forsure that he is my ancestor. TIA
