This is a general chronology of Isaac and the 125th Ill. Infantry Rgt. Might help put whatever other information you acquire into prespective. His service/pension files should pin down where he was wounded. I couldn't do that. He died at Chattanooga but I think he was wounded somewhere between Chattanooga and Atlanta and brought to a Chattanooga hospital. Isaac is buried in the Chattanooga National Cemetery according to the VA.

Aug. 13, 1862 Isaac N. Adams of Georgetown, Ill., c.1835 born at Georgetown, married, farmer, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, black hair, dark eyes, dark complexion, enlisted by G. W. Cook at Catlin, Ill. as sgt., Co. K, 125th Ill. Infantry Rgt.
Sept. 3, 1862 Regiment including Adams mustered in at Danville, Ill. after organizing at Danville, Ill.
Sept. 25, 1862 Regiment moved to Covington, Ky.
Oct. 1-16, 1862 Pursuit of Bragg into Kentucky
Oct. 8, 1862 Battle of Perryville, Ky.
Oct 16-Nov. 7, 1862 Regiment moved to Nashville, Tenn. and there until June 30, 1863. June 30, 1863 Regiment moved to Murfreesboro, Tenn.
July 18, 1863 Regiment returned to Nashville and there until Aug. 20.
Aug 20-Sept 16, 1863 Regiment moved to Chattanooga. Tenn. via Brentwood, Columbia, Huntsville, Ala.. and Bridgeport, Ala.

Nov. 4, 1864 I. N. Adams died at Chattanooga, Tenn. of wounds received in action and buried in Chattanooga, Tenn. National Cemetery, Plot: G 8354 (Middle initial given as H. but its the only contradiction)

Regiment then took part in March to the sea/Savannah, Ga. campaign followed by Carolina Campaign.
June 9, 1865 Regiment mustered out. Nine officers and 88 enlisted men killed or died of wounds and three officers and 104 enlisted men died of disease or other non-battle causes=204.
