I am trying to acquire any information available on George S. Mair an Australian born Civil War veteran; relating to his life, family, descendants and especially where he is buried. All I have is that George S. Mair was born in Australia. His residence was at Mahomet Illinois and he enlisted as a Private on 2/15/1865. He was mustered into "A" Co. Illinois 154th Infantry on 2/15/1865 and was mustered out at Nashville, Tennessee; on 9/18/1865. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated as I want to add him to the Memorial Website www.acwv.info.
