Thank you John. There are two good articles about Camp Butler at Northern Illinois University also. I had them book marked but I can't find them right now. Maybe I deleted them. Who know's. But I will go to their site again and see if I can find them. Lots of info and many good pictures of the camp. Camp Butler is where my Great Grandfather recieved his final pay for his service to the country.
