Thanks Frank, yes I recall the semi=battle at Monroe City although I was think of a battle at Paris MO (County seat) where the Yanks were holded up in the Glenn House Hotel and ended up surrendering. That Hotel was larter renamed "The Jefferson Hotel" it was torn down abt 20 yrs ago and still carried battle scars.

The Seminary bldg at Monroe City was torn down abt 10 yrs ago, it was still in good condition and also had some mini ball scars.
