Vol. 87 (Autumn,1994) issue of the Illinois Hitorical Journal, p. 192 has a photo of Co. A, 17th IL INF. It is captioned "photographed in Vicksburg on September 8, 1863." The illustration was used in "A Bibliography of Illinois Civil War Regimental Sources in the Illinois State Historical LIbrary." The fellow who compiled the bibliography is William B. Tubbs.
