The Spooner Library of the Peoria Historical Society has a number of pictures of the 17th Illinois Infantry Regiment. Two were used in an issue of Western Illinois Regional Studies article entitled "Peoria's Reaction to the Civil War." One photo is the officers of the 17th Illinois Regiment and the other is Co. A, 17th Illinois. The captions do not state when and where they were taken, but that they were "courtesy of Spooner Library.
