We have a tombstone that has a civil war insignia with
his name and date of death. Also the state of Mississippi.
It says "acting surgeon" in the Bible and lists the
57th volunteer Infantry.
He is on the 1850 census from Bureau County and the town
of Berlin. He is on the 1860 census from the Corp. of
Dover in the county of Bureau. It lists him as 24 and
a physician.
