Robin,I too have a relative in the 7th, 2nd Lt. Charles T.Elliott Co.A. Mr.Mallett's GGGrandfather Pvt.Walter J.Mallett saved Charles T.'s life at Shiloh after being shot in the face the bullet lodging in his neck.Walter removed with his pocket knife then and there.Like Walter,Dan is good people and am greatfull for his corespondence.Small world,my wifes mothers family are Bovee's her uncle lives in Carpentersville,IL..Charles T. had problems the rest of his life from his service in fact he died at the soldiers home in Danville,IL..You can write me mppe54@yahoo.com .
