A friend of mine copied what pertained to Woodruff County and gave it to me. She was doing research on her family's history and stumbled across this. She said it was part of a diary in a book but never copied the name down nor did she take down who the diary pages belonged to. I asked her what book it came from because I would love to know, but she doesn't remember. I was hoping that someone had the diary, other diaries or any letters describing the time the 13th spent here.
I am in the process of gathering as much history of Woodruff County as I can from the time of the CW. It's history that needs to be preserved. We have a museum that is opening soon in Woodruff County and every little bit helps.
