another states- 3 KIA, 7 wounded, 9 MIA, 5 left sick along route, = total 24.

You may already have this, but the second source appears to be from Col. Grierson's report in the OR's.

"Our loss during the entire journey was 3 killed, 7 wounded, 5 left on the route sick; the sergeant-major and surgeon of the Seventh Illinois left with Lieutenant-Colonel Blackburn, and 9 men missing, supposed to have straggled."

At the time of his report (May 5, 1863), he reported 1 man killed, and Lieut. Col. William D. Blackburn and 4 men wounded at Wall's Bridge.
