I know of a couple from the 7th IL Cav. who were KIA.
Co G--Pvt. Rees M. Hughes was killed at Tickfaw, MS May 1, 1863. Also KIA that same day at the same place was Pvt. George Rinehold of Shawneetown, IL.

The Adj. General's Reports states that Pvt. Wm. Buffington of Co A 7th Cav. was killed by guerillas near Philadelphia, MS on 4-24-1863.

I have some unpublished records of men in the 6th IL Cav who were in Grierson's raid, but they aren't indexed. I will check them for you though (it will take a while).

I have a book that I can check also.
