I am looking for information on 2nd Lieutenant Joseph Collier from the 95th IL Volunteers out of Belvidere. He was wounded at Vicksburg on May 22, 1863 and subsequently died at Goodrich's Landing on 6/23/1863. He was from NJ and I'm trying to figure out why he enlisted in IL. He is buried at Vicksburg. I would be grateful for any information I could get.
