Re: Dan I H Reading Co D 118th Ill Inf

James,
The IL Muster and Descriptive Rolls list him at the time of his joining the service as age 25, 5'7", light hair & complexion, hazel eyes, married, farmer, born in Manchester, Dearborn Co., IN.

There is a Daniel H. Reading listed in the 1910 Carroll Co., AR Census. Omega Twp. Page 141, #146
Reading, Daniel H./male/white/age 72/married twice; 14yr. Born IN, father born in KY, mother b. in IN. He was a blacksmith.

Wife was Mattie B., age 42, md twice, 14yr. She had 9 children with 4 living. Born in TN.
Children listed were: Orion L, son, age 13; Laura, dau. age 8; Theodore, son age 1/12; and a step-dau. named Della M. Bratton age 17, married for 2 years. All children were born in Arkansas.

I don't see him in the 1920 Census. There was a group from Arkansas, maybe from the State Historical Soc.??, who published the Arkansas death records beginning in 1914. You might want to try finding his death record for more information.

Hope this helps,
Ann
