I am trying to find out any information possible on and ancestor that was in the civil war. His name was F. W. Hamberg.

I have his original name badge. It's not like most dog tags I've seen from civil war era. Those are mostly coins with a hole drilled in them and the info stamped on it.

This one is flat and silver. It's an ornate shield shape. It's two parts. One dangles from the other by two links. The top part has a pin back.

the top part has the name F.W. Hamberg and the bottom part has the information Co. K 10.60.Ill V.V.I. I have the name badge and the original sword. My brother has the rifle. Any information would be very helpful.
