This is a notification that the Blind Email feature, which allows you to send private email messages to other posters, who have included their email addresses with their postings, is now working.

Please DO NOT use this feature, unless you absolutely have to. Most communications should occur on the message boards, but if you are invited to contact someone by this feature or you'd like to communicate with them about non-message board related topics, you may do so in a very limited way. If the person you're attempting to contact does not respond, do not continue to try to contact them by Blind Email.

I WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT ALLOW ANY FORM OF SOLICITATION FOR BOOKS, PRODUCTS OR OTHER SERVICES THROUGH THIS FEATURE. IF YOU DO ABUSE THE PRIVILEGE OF THE USE OF THE BLIND EMAIL FEATURE, YOU RISK EXPULSION FROM THE MESSAGE BOARDS, PERMANENTLY. ALL BLIND EMAILS ARE BEING COPIED TO THE MESSAGE BOARD ADMINISTRATION. I AND OUR OTHER MODERATORS WILL BE REVIEWING ALL BLIND EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS AND WE WILL MOVE QUICKLY TO STOP ABUSE.

Finally, please be aware that, if you receive a Blind Email from another user, you can see their email address, BUT THEY CANNOT SEE YOURS. Your email addresses are absolutely secure on these sites when you include them in the "Your E-Mail Address:" box on the Post New Message form.

Please use the Blind Email feature sparingly and attempt to keep your discussions on the message boards. You never know who is reading your posts and might have an answer or information you've been looking for, for years.
