If I think that my family was moving back and forth between Harrison Co, MO and a couple of Iowa counties during the war-how would I go about figuring that out? I know their official residence was in Harrison and Worth Counties, MO. They paid taxes in 1862 in Worth County. There were several births registered during the war in Iowa and at least one, possibly two of the family's brothers were living in Keokuk Co, Iowa during the civil war. Two of the brothers fought in an Iowa regiment from that county and were on the 1860 census.
