I am looking for any information on the 9th Iowa Volunteer Infantry (1861 - 1865), such as letters, diaries, period newspaper articles, photos, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The unit was engaged at Pea Ridge, Helena, Vicksburg, Lookout Mountain & Missionary Ridge (one of the few regiments to actually assault both), Atlanta, the March to the Sea & the Carolinas Campaign.
