I am trying to locate my GGGrandfather, Edmund B. Wood, of the 42nd VA Infantry. Captured at Spottsylvania, he was sent to Elmira and exchanged at Venus Point on 11/15 like many others. He disappears from the record at this point and there is no record of him returning home. If he died there, where would he be buried? Any help would be appreciated.
