Thank you for the info George. I've got all the regular info from NARA in the past. The new info that I recently learned from the family letter was where the brothers were held as POW's. I have been trying to figure that question out for a long time. What I was hoping to do was get some proof from Libby prison records if that exists. I will contact the webmaster as you suggested. Everything I've found so far fits that they were there. Libby didn't start accepting POW's until March 1862 according to Richmond newspaper and on David's NARA POW file it states he was confined at Richmond on March 17, 1862. Also, they were exchanged May 11, 1862 which also goes along with the newspaper talking about 700 prisoners exchanged from Libby in middle May 1862. So, everything fits, I'm just hoping to find some proof. Thanks again.
