I have the names of five men that "were sent from Andersonville Prison, in August, 1864, to attempt to convince Lincoln and Stanton to renew prisoner exchange and parole." My research skills are not as good as I thought they were, and I can find nothing in the OR's or all my other places of former success to learn anything more. I have found an article by a Jon Rice entitled "Andersonville" which mentions the incident but it does not indicate any source as to where he might have obtained his information. Any help would be greatly appreciated concerning this.
