PS--James Abbington Everett, Jr. who was born born on 25 August 1840 and died in 1908, is NOT James Everett who was captain of Company F, 12th Georgia Regiment and who lived from 1821 to 1893. I am familiar with both. They both lived in Fort Valley at roughly the same time and both served in the Confederate infantry. James Abbington Everett, Jr. was the son of James Abbington Everett, who founded Fort Valley. As far as I can ascertain, James Everett (1821-1893) was not related to the James Abbington Everetts. Being from New York, its unlikely James Everett (1821-1893) was related to the James Abbington Everetts.
