Flag Pole in back of arch at Camp Chase

Dick, At the downtown Columbus, Ohio Library you should be able to find the Confederate Veterans Magazines on the 3rd Floor. Look for volume 11 and look at page 315. While I cannot be 100% sure it looks like the flag pole in back of the boulder. The gentleman who gave the arch and statue was the Honorable W.H. Harrison of Cincinnati, Ohio. It would appear that the flag pole was put up at the same time. If so this would have been done in 1903. At least it is in the July 1903 edition of the Confederate Veteran. I can't tell if it's just a flag pole or if it's the Naval flagpole that the postcards show at times. I seem to recall a wooden pavilion in the background of that Naval Flagpole and if so it should be pre 1918. It would be interesting to find out where the arch and statue were made. As you are aware there were at least three newspapers in Columbus, Ohio in 1903. If anything were to be said about the arch or statue or flag pole I would think it would be found in either May or June of 1903.
