George, thank you for your advice on Dr. Jones. I found an article in the NY Times Archives dated 15 Jun 1864 listing Joseph as being in the hospital at Locust Grove. I've tried to find more info about the hospital, but no luck. Do you know if there are any Confederate hospital records from here or where I could look? Thanks again., Linda
