My interest is in Union Officers held by The South so I can give you no specifics on your guy.
But
Enlisted men captured east of the Mississippi were sent to Richmond. He was most likely held at Belle Island in Richmond (officers were held @ Libby).
In early 1864, both Libby and Belle Island were emptied, with the enlisted men being sent to Camp Sumter, Andersonville, GA. With the advance of Sherman, the enlisted men were sent to Charleston, SC, generally kept at the Race Track. Yellow fever broke out in mid summer and the enlisted men were sent to Florence, SC. In Feb 1865, they were sent to Wilmington, NC and paroled there on 1 March 1865, which matches with his Parole date. He might have been held at Salisbury, NC but that is far less likley than the outlined POW camps.
Some late war POWs were kept in Richmond and Danville, VA camps but these POWs were all back in union hands by 3 week of Feb.
With the death rate at Andersonville and the time of his stay, he is lucky to have survived.
I hope this helps.
