My great grandfather,David Christy 40 OVI Co.E, military records states that he escaped from Camp Lawton December 12, 1864. Pension record depositions from fellow soldiers taken at the same time, state that he was he was held at Andersonville then on to Camp Florence, Florence, SC. My qusetion is, are there any records of prisoner held at Camp Lawton.
