I am looking for any information pertaining to the 14 Reg. of Iowa, 1861 thru 1865. Particularly Co. D .

My Grandfather, George Washington Culp served with this Reg. in Co. D.

He was captured twice, first time he was exchanged quickly, within months, second time at the wars end.

I know it sounds strange to say my Grandfather, but, he was born 1828, my father, 1878 and me 1938 I'm now 69.

I have search and read many things of the Civil War and have found some info.. Mainly from a cousin in Texas, Ky Longley

I would like to meet people that had family in the Iowa 14th. Reg. As I understand the 14th. was highly recognized at the wars end.
