Thanks for your reply & info. I have ordered the CMSR & spoke to Jim about it earlier today and should have it in a couple of weeks and hopefully that will give me more info. The Civil War POW records shows that he was taken POW on 25 May 1864 near Dallas, GA then confined on 10 June 1864 at Rock Island, IL - then Transferred to Louisville, KY July 27, 1864 - and later exchanged on 05 March 1865 - and furloughed on 08 March 1865. 1870 Census records show that he was back in Florida. I know that he died according to Family Bible records in 1909 in Louisiana. I would love to find out any info at all as to his whereabouts during that almost 40 year span. I look forward to hearing from anyone that may have weblinks that could help assist.
