Looking for info on Robert McKee who was a Union soldier serving a Camp Dopuglas. He rescued his cousin or half brother who was incarcerated there. The brother's name was Gauley McKee from Alabama. We know that Gauley's father was John Richard McKee and are trying to find a trace through Robert Mckee as we have no info on John Richard except his birth date of 1783 in Ireland. As to when he came to the states, where he entered, and exactly where in Ireland he came from we do not know. Thought we might get a line through the relative, Robert. John Ricahrd married a widow, Martha Saunders in Chatham co Georgia in 1823. Any help is greatly appreciated.
