My greatgrandfather Jasper was Paroled June 19, 1865. He, according to my father who spent a lot of time with him reading him the Bible after he went blind, did not talk much about camp life, but he had a lot to say about the walk home. I cannot see me walking from here to Chicago for any reason.

I have been wanting to ask you. My father-in-law has on his WW II footstone "U.S. Navy END 3" What rank is that? As ole Army I never did learn the Navy enlisted rank.
