LEGG, Russell W., 2nd Lieutenant, Company A, 50th Virginia Infantry (NPS Index to the CMSR. I believe J. Ogden Murray says 37th Virginia Infantry). Captured 12 MAY 1864 and received at Fort Delaware on 23 JUN 1864. Departed Fort Delaware on 20 AUG 1864 for Charleston Harbor. Our database notes state that he died at Fort Pulaski, but I have nothing readily at hand confirming his date of death.
