For your benefit and Hugh Simmons, here is an abbreviated service record for Leslie Combs Blankenship of the 11th Virginia Infantry from Ancestry.Com. He definitely was captured on the third day at Gettysburg, so the "Pickett's Charge" claim could or should, definitely be true as the 11th Virginia was a part of Kemper's Brigade in Pickett's Division.
