George,
Any explanation of why a heavy artillery unit, which by definition should be serving well behind the battle lines, and which does not appear to have served in any serious battles according to their unit history, should have such a high number of battle casualties? I can understand the 697 dead due to disease - that's a high number, but disease will do that. But the 128 killed and wounded??? Were those "expeditions" that hard fought?
